Tragically Hip @ Metropolis

The Hip have played a pair of shows at Montreal's Metropolis. Both came in November of 2006 on back-to-back nights near the beginning of the World Container tour. As such, WC songs were in heavy rotation. What is of note is the inclusion of 38 Years Old on the final night. This was the song's forth appearance since awakening a few months earlier at Historic Fort York on June 24th, from its 13 year slumber that began at the Markham Fairgrounds in 1993.

Metropolis holds approx. 2300 people and has a grand old theatre atmosphere complete with chandeliers and tiered seating creating a feeling of intimacy and connection between the band and the audience. The stage has been graced by the likes of David Bowie, The White Stripes, Coldplay, Bjork, Beck and Green Day to name but a few.
